On Actors, Actresses, and TV Shows.

I’m eating a banana.  I don’t even like bananas.   But I’m eating one.  So, since I still can’t talk about Doctor Who (ahem), I thought I’d talk about bananas.  Just kidding.  I already covered pretty much anything I can say about bananas.  Oh, they’re cream colored, they’re covered in a thick yellow skin, and they’re sort of curved.  Yep.  I think I’ve said everything.

I finished my banana.  I was halfway through it when I started writing this, but whatever.  So, I present to thee a list of my favorite… Actors, actresses, and TV shows

Actors:

1.      David Tennant

2.      Dan Stevens

3.      James Roday

Actresses:

1.      Emma Watson

2.      Maggie Lawson

3.      Jessica Brown-Findlay

TV Shows:

1.      Doctor Who

2.      Psych

3.      Downton Abbey

4.      Bones

5.      How I Met Your Mother

A brief explanation of the TV shows I just selected (except for DW because I can’t talk about that):

I'll try to avoid spoilers, but a few may slip out, so just be aware of that.

Psych:  Psych is “just another crime show”, but it’s so much better.  It’s about a fake psychic (Shawn Spencer) who works for the Santa Barbara police department, and has a psychic detective company that he owns with his best friend since practically birth (Burton “Gus” Guster).  While working at the police department he works a lot with Detective Carlton Lassiter (who hates him), and Detective Juliet O’Hara (who is awesome, and whom he is in love with), as well as Chief Vick and sometimes his dad (Henry Spencer), an ex-cop, is involved.

Downton Abbey: Downton Abbey is a period drama based on the time from the Titanic sinking into the 1920s.  It follows about 30 characters, some lords and ladies from “upstairs” and some servants from “downstairs”.  My favorite character is Matthew (Dan Stevens), but he’s closely followed by Lady Sybil (Jessica Brown-Findlay).

Bones: Bones is yet another crime show, set in the lab where the solve murders.  There are six main characters.  First there's Temperance Brennan, who is called Bones by Booth.  She's really, really smart, and she is the forensic anthropologist at the Jeffersonian, which is where the show is set.  Next there's Booth.  His name is Seeley Booth, but everyone just calls him Booth.  He is Brennan's partner, and he's an FBI agent.  Then there's Hodgins.  Jack Hodgins.  He's the bug and slime boy.  AKA he analyzes bugs and dirt and stuff found in and around the bodies.  He's married to/dating (in the earlier season) Angela Montenegro.  She does all the artistic stuff.  She sketches victims, makes models of how murders may have happened, etc.  She's sort of in charge of a lot of the computer stuff.  Then there's Cam, who is the boss at the Jeffersonian.  That's sort of all you can say about Cam.  Lastly, there is Sweets.  Sweets (Lance Sweets) is the psychologist.  He is a lot younger than the other characters, and there tends to be some references to that throughout the show.

How I Met Your Mother: HIMYM (pronounced him-yim) is an eight season long show that is the extended story that a man, Ted Moseby, tells his kids about how he met their mother.  Obviously.  In this show, there are five main characters.  Ted, the guy telling the story.  He's pretty average.  Marshall, Ted's best friend since college, who is an environmental lawyer, and has been with his (now wife) Lily since the beginning of college.  Lily is an artist, but really a kindergarten teacher.  Then there's Barney.  Barney is just plain legen-wait for it-dary.  Ha.  He's a huge player, but he's so funny no one watching the show really cares...  And finally there is Robin.  Robin is a woman that dates both Ted and Barney, and is Canadian, which she gets a very hard time about from Barney.  She was a teen pop star, Robin Sparkles, in Canada, so that's cool.  HIMYM is a pretty random show, all leading up to this big finale that should happen at the end of next season.  I think.  I know that it is ending after the ninth season, and it's currently on the eighth.  I'm sure they'll figure out some way to keep it going, though...
